How does it work?
-
Mentees sign up for the program and express a preference of whom they would like to potentially pair up with.
-
We encourage first chatting with your potential mentor to determine if you both will be a good fit for each other before committing to regular meetings. Signing up does not require you to commit to the relationship, it only ensures you will be introduced to the mentor. It is up to both the mentor and mentee to then decide if they would like to further develop their relationship. Our program is structured so that mentors and mentees meet on a regular basis in order to get the most benefits. Mentorship is a continuous, developing relationship, not a one-time conversation.
-
Depending on demand and availability, we will try our best to fulfill all requests, however, we cannot guarantee that you will immediately meet the mentor you requested because of their limited capacity.
-
In the instance the mentor you requested to meet is at capacity, you will be given the option to either choose another mentor, or be put on a waitlist.
-
The frequency and structure of meetings will be decided by both the mentor and mentee once both sides have decided to continue build their relationship.
-
Frequent check-ins for feedback will happen with mentors and mentees to ensure the program is running smoothly and both sides are getting the best out of it. In the event the mentee or mentor has not lived up to their commitment to the program and is not communicating with the board, disciplinary action will be taken and may result in the removal of the mentor/mentee from the program.
